POSTCARD: Abbreviated Rules
Open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. and D.C., 18+. Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. PT on 10/18/26 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on 11/7/26. Limit one (1) entry per person. One (1) winner, selected based on the quality of survey responses, will receive a $200 Purple Carrot account credit. The first fifty (50) eligible survey completions will each also receive one (1) pound of California walnuts, while supplies last. Void where prohibited. FULL OFFICIAL RULES
1. Sponsor
The California Walnuts x Purple Carrot Survey Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Three Limes, Inc. d/b/a Purple Carrot (“Sponsor”).
2. Contest Period
The Contest begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on October 18, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on November 7, 2026 (the “Contest Period”). Sponsor’s designated computer and timekeeping system shall be the official timekeeping device for the Contest. To be eligible, entries must be received during the Contest Period.
3. Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, California Walnut Board, Revelry Agency, and their respective affiliates and agencies, and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. This eligibility criteria applies equally to eligibility for the Survey Gift described in Section 5A.
4. How to Enter
During the Contest Period, eligible participants may access and complete the California Walnuts survey corresponding with the Purple Carrot recipe received using the QR code or survey link provided in connection with the promotion.
Two survey versions may be available based on the applicable Purple Carrot recipe. Regardless of survey version, completion and submission of an eligible survey constitutes one entry into the Contest.
Limit one (1) Contest entry per person during the Contest Period. Completion of multiple survey versions does not provide additional Contest entries. Sponsor may disqualify any entry that Sponsor determines, in good-faith and reasonable discretion, is generated by automated means, is materially duplicative, is fraudulent, or otherwise violates these Official Rules.
If an entry is deemed incomplete solely due to a technical error not caused by the entrant and time remains in the Contest Period, Sponsor may (but is not obligated to) permit resubmission of the entry before the Contest Period ends.
The order in which eligible survey submissions are received, for purposes of determining the first fifty (50) recipients of the Survey Gift described in Section 5A, will be determined using the same Sponsor-designated computer and timekeeping system referenced in Section 2.
5. Prize
One (1) winner will receive a $200 Purple Carrot account credit. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $200.The credit will be applied directly to the winner’s existing Purple Carrot account. The prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash; however, if the advertised prize (or any portion of the prize) becomes unavailable for any reason, Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate retail value, in Sponsor good-faith discretion, subject to applicable law. The Purple Carrot account credit does not expire.
5A. Survey Completion Gift
In addition to the Contest prize described in Section 5, the fifty (50) eligible survey submissions received during the Contest Period will each receive one (1) pound of California walnuts (“Survey Gift”), while supplies last. Approximate Retail Value of the Survey Gift: $7.99.
The Survey Gift is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, is not awarded by chance, and is not part of the Contest prize described in Section 5. Receipt of the Survey Gift does
not affect an entrant’s eligibility for, or selection as the winner of, the Contest prize, and does not count as an additional Contest entry.
Survey Gifts will be shipped to the mailing address provided by the entrant at the time of contact notification. Sponsor is not responsible for delivery delays, lost or damaged shipments, or non-delivery due to an incomplete or inaccurate address provided by the entrant. Allow 2 weeks for delivery.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
This is a contest of Merit. One (1) potential winner will be selected from all eligible entries received across the two survey versions during the Contest Period by Sponsor, in consultation with California Walnut Board, based on the overall quality, thoughtfulness and usefulness of the survey responses, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Chance plays no part in determining the winner, and Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding.
The potential winner will be notified using the email address provided with their survey response. The potential winner may be required to confirm eligibility and provide information reasonably necessary to award the prize.
If the potential winner cannot be contacted, is determined to be ineligible, or fails to respond within the timeframe and in the manner provided in the winner notification, the potential winner will forfeit the prize, and Sponsor may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries, selected on the same basis.
7. General Conditions
By participating, entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor regarding the Contest.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who attempts to tamper with the entry process, submit fraudulent or duplicate entries, interfere with administration of the Contest, or otherwise violate these Official Rules.
Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Contest if fraud, technical failure, unauthorized intervention or other circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control affect the integrity or proper administration of the Contest and Survey Gift. Sponsor and administrator decisions are final and binding.
8. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, by participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, California Walnut Board, Revelry Agency, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents from claims, losses, damages or liabilities arising from participation in the Contest and Survey Gift or acceptance, possession or use of the prize, except where prohibited by law.
9. Privacy
Information submitted through the surveys will be used to administer the survey and Contest, including judging entries, contacting and verifying the potential winner, and will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy practices and policies. 10. Governing Law
The Contest and Survey Gift and these Official Rules are subject to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Any additional governing-law, dispute-resolution or other provisions required by Sponsor or California Walnut Board must be incorporated, if at all, following Legal review and no later than the close of the Contest and Survey Gift Period. No such provisions will be added, and no changes will be made to the governing-law or dispute-resolution terms of these Official Rules, after the Contest and Survey Gift Period has ended.
11. Controlling Terms
These Full Official Rules govern the Contest and control over any abbreviated, summary or shortened statement of these rules (including the “POSTCARD: Abbreviated Rules” summary appearing above) and over any other promotional or advertising materials referencing the Contest. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Official Rules and any such abbreviated, summary, promotional or advertising materials, these Official Rules will govern, and any determination by Sponsor shall be final and binding.
